Hope Bilinski - Doctoral

Regina Grey Nuns Hospital Alumnae Association Bursary

"This bursary will assist me in meeting the financial challenges with doctoral studies and returning to university in general. The registered nurses of this province are truly fortunate to have organizations such as the SNF that provide us with opportunities that assist us in our educational endeavors. The recipients are both the nurses receiving the awards and scholarships as well as the people of Saskatchewan, who are recipients of our care."

John Engel Bursary

"This award will be applied to my tuition fees at the University of Western Ontario. It will also be of invaluable assistance as I progress through my doctoral nursing program. I am currently developing my dissertation plan, which will aim to inform chronic care service policy for the frail elderly. I am particularly interested in exploring leadership and knowledge transfer strategies with the informal caregiver as a member of interdisciplinary community-based care teams."

Brenda Servold - Clinical Courses

"Thank you for the support you have awarded me towards my studies into advanced wound care practice. Our Health Authority has little direct access to wound care expertise at this time. There is a team of two ET nurses from Saskatoon who visit our community for two days at a time twice yearly, and are available for telephone or telehealth consultations in the in between months. We are grateful for their support. But I feel we need more local expertise. I’m hoping this course will give me that experience and special knowledge. The selective project I have chosen to complete is a wound needs assessment for our community and then in the future, perhaps for the entire Health District."
